1. Data We Collect

We collect: (a) account information (name, email, phone, role); (b) profile content (avatar, bio, teaching subject for educators); (c) usage data (pages visited, AI chat interactions, library access); (d) payment information when applicable, processed by our payment partners — we do not store full card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

To: (a) provide and improve the Service; (b) personalize AI Teacher responses and library recommendations; (c) communicate updates, security alerts, and educational content; (d) verify educator credentials; (e) detect abuse and protect users.

3. Data Storage

Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure, with India-region storage prioritized where available. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

4. Third-Party Services

We use: (a) Google OAuth for sign-in; (b) Anthropic Claude API to power the AI Teacher; (c) Sarvam AI for regional language features. These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.

5. Your Rights (India DPDP Act 2023)

You have the right to: (a) access your personal data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your account and associated data; (d) withdraw consent for processing; (e) lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Cookies and Analytics

FlyVeda uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. This helps us improve the learning experience. Google Analytics collects anonymised information including pages visited, time spent, and general location (country/city level). Your IP address is anonymised before storage.

You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you first visit FlyVeda. You can change your preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for flyveda.in, which will show the consent banner again on your next visit.

FlyVeda does not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing analytics tools.

7. Data Retention

We retain account data while your account is active. On deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children

FlyVeda is not directed at children under 16. If we learn that a child under 16 has provided personal data, we will delete it.

9. Changes

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
